LAHORE: (Sunday, December 22, 2024): Punjab University Hailey College of Commerce’s International Office celebrated the International Day of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to highlight the country's rich history, rapid development and global contributions. On this occasion, Director Hailey International Office Dr Sadia Farooq, Deputy Director Hafiz Fawad Ali and students were present. It featured a series of cultural and educational activities designed to showcase the UAE’s heritage and accomplishments. Throughout the event, students had the opportunity to engage in discussions about the UAE’s impressive transformation into a global hub for business, tourism and innovation. Faculty members including Dr Sadia Farooq, Dr Sarfraz Khalil, Dr Nisar Ahmad and Atiq ur Rehman provided insightful talks on the UAE's diplomatic relations, economic growth, and cultural diplomacy, offering a deep dive into the country’s journey to becoming a leading international player. The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the spirit of unity and strengthening the bond of friendship between the UAE and Pakistan.
